ANCHOR BAY FILMS PICKS UP

TEN YEAR

FROM THE TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL

BEVERLY HILLS, CA –  Anchor Bay Films has acquired the U.S. rights to the 2011 Toronto Film Festival film, TEN YEAR.  Slated for a Spring 2012 release, TEN YEAR marks writer-director Jamie Linden’s directorial debut.  Bill Clark, President of Anchor Bay Entertainment, made today’s announcement.

“Some of the greatest films are built around ensemble casts and TEN YEAR is no exception,” commented Clark.  “TEN YEAR is sure to be a favorite of film lovers of all kinds.”

TEN YEAR was one of my favorite films coming out of TIFF this year,” stated Kevin Kasha, Executive Vice President, Acquisitions and Co-Productions, Anchor Bay Films.  “The cast has an excellent chemistry which comes across on-screen and the performances are strong.  It’s a funny film -- everyone will be able to relate to this film and maybe even look forward to their high school reunion.”

Inspired by his own high school reunion, Jamie Linden’s TEN YEAR is a generational ensemble dramedy in the same vein as The Big Chill.  The film focuses on a group of friends as they return home on the night of their ten-year high-school reunion, leading them to ponder what their own lives have become, as well as what might have been.  At the center of the film is Jake (Tatum) who is waiting for the right moment to propose to his girlfriend Jess (Jenna Dewan-Tatum), when his former girlfriend (Rosario Dawson) shows up.  Together with their friends, what ensues is a reunion night filled with moments both cathartic and revelatory.

TEN YEAR stars Lynn Collins (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Rosario Dawson (Seven Pounds), Jenna Dewan-Tatum (Step Up), Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker), Ari Graynor (Mystic River), Oscar Issac (Sucker Punch), Ron Livingston (Dinner for Schmucks), Justin Long (The Conspirator), Anthony Mackie (The Adjustment Bureau), Kate Mara (happythankyoumoreplease), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Aubrey Plaza (“Parks and Recreation”), Scott Porter (Speed Racer), Chris Pratt (Moneyball), and Channing Tatum (Dear John).  The film was produced by Marty Bowen, Reid Carolin, Wyck Godfrey, and Channing Tatum.  It was executive produced by Eric Gores, Scott Lumpkin, and Frank Mancuso, Jr.

The film was produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Channing Tatum and his Iron Horse Entertainment producing partner Reid Carolin.  It was executive produced by Eric Gores, Scott Lumpkin, and Frank Mancuso, Jr.  Eric Gores and Frank Mancuso Jr.’s Boss Media financed the film.

Paradigm reps Jamie Linden.  The Paradigm Motion Picture Finance Group reps Eric Gores, Frank Mancuso Jr. and Boss Media and negotiated the deal with Anchor Bay Films.
